1900: An unusual view of Yeadon Fountain with a covering of snow.

P179

Undated: The fountain is on the left next to Murgatroyd's Moorfield Mill, Now the site of Murgatroyd's fish restaurant (December 2015).

Victoria Avenue (Harrogate Road) runs diagonally across the view, a finger post points up Bayton Lane to Horsforth on the right.

A Belisha Beacon is at the kerbside to enable pedestrians to cross the road safely which indicates that the photo dates from after 1934 when the beacons were first introduced.

D722

Undated: Yeadon Fountain, it's disappearance during WW2 gave rise to a mystery as to it's fate.

I believe this fountain now stands on the Promenade at Lytham St Annes. There is a story of how it came about
but I am not sure of the facts.

I thought that was the case but it turns out there were about 5 or 6 of these made and the one at St Annes is not the one from Yeadon
