1: Lorna Caine is wearing a striped apron and shawl, this was outside the Oxfam shop on the High Street.

2: A steam engine is parked near the entrance to Morrisons supermarket on the High Street, "D.W. Mitchell, Guiseley, Yorks".
On the right side of the road shops include Craven jewellers and Greenwood's menswear.

3: School children assembled on the Moorfield industrial estate preparing to parade down the High Street.
They are dressed in period fashion and carrying banners.
4 & 5: Firefighters demonstrate the use of an old fire appliance on Town Hall Square.

The Steam Engine pictured above was a Steam Tractor.It was built in Hunslet in 1920 by John Fowler (Leeds).It was a Class T3 Number 15625 fitted with a Compound Engine.
Its registration number was U 7148
