& 2: A poster advertising the event and a card with 2 stamps, this was the work of Lorna Caine.
For many years she was a volunteer at the Oxfam shop on the High Street, stamps which had been donated were sorted and packaged on the cards to sell on Carnival day.

Children in Edwardian style dress parade down the High street holding banners with the names of some of the local mills on them -- Albert, Crompton, Nunroyd, Leafield and Greenbottom Mills.

Majorettes marching in the carnival parade, behind them are children in Edwardian costumes.

,6,7,8 & 9: Seen dancing on Town Hall Square and the High Street are children from Queensway Infant and Primary School.
