AHS Archive Team
AHS archive room Yeadon Town Hall
The archive team (volunteers) meet up and archive donations every Monday afternoon in Yeadon Town Hall, where the collection is based.
Edwy Harling volunteer, Edwy looks after the master digital archive.
Howard German and Christine Lovedale volunteers.
Howard has been cataloguing 35mm slides digitally, as well as contributing a lot of images himself to the collection. Christine(custodian of the archives) researches information for the images and writes up the text for the archives as well as cataloguing our finer more delicate artefacts.
Vera Firth volunteer, Vera has been a member for many years and spends time indexing the items that Christine researches.
Two more volunteers Dennis Court and Jean Dean sorting and listing documents. They have both spent their lives in the area and contribute valuable information, sadly Dennis passed away.
Linda Storey and Edwy Harling both have created the on line index system for the digital archive collection. Linda has also catalogued & placed thousands of photographs into albums .

AHS National Heritage Day exhibition - 2015
The AHS committee, archive team along with some members put together an exhibition , open to the public for a day.
The theme was "Only Yesterday, the lost buildings of Yeadon"
Along with some artefacts from the buildings they displayed many photographs.
Various display boards with information from theYeadon buildings that many remembered.
From the Co-op to Queen Street Chapel and a map to show you where they all were.
