"In the 17th page of this day's Intelligencer will be found an account of the presentation of a silk gown
and cassock, with a silver salver, by the parishioners of Guiseley to the Rev.
J H F Kendall who has been appointed to the new living at Holbeck.
presentation took place on Monday last; and on the same day the operatives of
Guiseley, who have obtained cottage gardens of Mr Fawkes, at a cheap rate,
through the instrumentality of Mr Kendall also presented him with a very pretty
silver inkstand, as an affectionate token of their gratitude towards him."
