Mount Pleasant Street Party

Mount Pleasant Street Party
Date Undated
Location Guiseley
Photo ID
D285     Image donated by Freda Potts
The donor of this image Freda Potts is uncertain why this street party was held and suggests VE Day or the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
A man in the background holds aloft what looks to be a large cup. The location is Mount Pleasant looking towards the quarry entrance on Moor Lane (thanks to our facebook friends for identifying the location)
Freda remarks that this is the area of Moor Lane with wall and chimney which was mentioned by Brian Triffitt in his memories of Moor Lane.
