New Baptist College At Rawden
The Friends of the Baptist College at Horton are intending
to move the institution to Rawden.
They have obtained a site at Cragg Wood on
the Acacia estate. The College committee some time ago advertised for plans and
have recently had before them no fewer than 44 plans presented by
architects in various parts of the county and the committee have this week made
their award, giving the first premium of £50 to Mr J H Paull of Cardiff and the
second of £25 to Messrs Lockwood and Mawson of Bradford.
The plan of Mr Paull, which will be adopted, will afford
accommodation for 25 resident students and a principal.
The style of the
college partakes of the Tudor but the details are strictly original.
