Comment "Malicious Damage
On Saturday night last some miscreants entered the garden of Mr
Hustler on Yeadon Moor and completely stripped upwards of twenty
valuable fruit trees of their bark. Not content with this malicious
act, they destroyed every vegetable and flower in the garden, cutting
down smaller fruit trees in their progress.
Mr Hustler, a short time since, made himself very active in
endeavouring to trace out the late cloth robberies in this place and
in his disagreeable task gave umbrage to those individuals on whom his
suspicions fell and it is supposed that the mischief now done is the
sequel to his praiseworthy exertions. We hope the offenders may be
brought to justice".
