1: 18th September: An image taken at Hopeville, these people are possibly members of the Slater family or their friends.
The man on the right holding the child is Ernest Ethelbert Slater, this is one of his slides, digitally transferred by John Hobson.

2: Musicians on the lawn at Hopeville, home of E E Slater photographer.
This was a Whit Monday gathering.
The photograph was taken in what is now the garden of AHS Archivist Carlo Harrison.

3: June 8th 1908: E E Slater was a member of Queen Street Chapel, on Whit Monday's he invited the congregation to garden parties in the grounds of his home Hopeville.
This is where this crowd of smartly dressed people are going.

We used to help Dad with the garden when we were little. Our house was built in the grounds of Hopeville House. We used to find old coins and bits of fancy crockery. I wish we had kept them.
