1953: White Cross before the roundabout was constructed.
To the left is Otley Road, the White Cross Inn advertises "Tetley's Yorkshire Pale Ale".
Bradford Road is to the right, various vehicles can be seen including an iconic Morris Traveller or "Woodie".

Undated: Otley Road runs to the left of the White Cross Hotel with Bradford Road on the right, behind the bus shelters is the Tranmere Café.

In the centre is the forerunner of the present roundabout.

U440

Undated: White Cross with the White Cross Hotel proclaiming that it is "One of Tetley's Houses". A tram on Otley Road (A65) has a large group of people round it, this was the terminus of the tram service from Leeds, the large building just behind the tram was the tram shed.
