|The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes
Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes is a fraternal organisation founded in
1822 at the Harp Tavern in Drury Lane by artist Joseph Lisle and comic William
Sinnett with other theatrical workers.
The name was culled from a then popular
Music Hall song "We'll Chase the Buffaloes".
The Order was well supported and
Lodges opened all over Britain and abroad.
