                                      Wanton Mischief

On Sunday morning early, the family of the Rev. Wm. Metcalfe, Incumbent of St Johns Church Yeadon, were alarmed by stones being thrown in to the bedroom of the female servants and also through the windows of the Rev. Gentleman's study, by which seven squares were broken. Several other individuals had their windows broken the same night.

The parties suspected of doing this disgraceful mischief have been following similar vicious courses.

They have hitherto escaped detection but as a watch has been set upon their motions they had better beware, as if caught they will be severely and deservedly punished
