    "At the last Otley Sessions, Sarah, the wife of Thomas Umpleby of that place, was convicted of seducing an apprentice of Mr Yeadon, linen and woollen draper there, to steal from his master several quantities of shop goods and for receiving the same knowing them to be stolen.

     She received sentence to stand in the pillory one hour in the market place in Otley, which was executed upon her on Friday last"
